In 1988, Dave Judd was working as a District Trainer for Safeway. His own home had a moss and fungus covered shake roof and he instinctively knew something should be done about it. After doing extensive research he found a product that truly gave homeowners a viable and valuable option in extending their roofs life.A friend that had worked with the product came up from California one weekend to make some extra money by trying to sell a few jobs. Well, after a few hours it became clear that homeowners saw the value of this work and shortly after this weekend Dave quit Safeway and started Pressure Point Roofing, Inc.
In the last 20 years Pressure Point Roofing, Inc has grown to become one of the most recognized names for businesses in the Rogue Valley. In the process of doing all of these restorations, Dave quickly realized that “all roofs are not restorable.” In the beginning, he would give the homeowner a reference for other roofing companies. Soon, he saw that re-roofing was an option that with the proper employees and equipment, he could do himself. So the re-roofing portion of Pressure Point’s business was born. In this move the opportunity to offer other services came about. Pressure Point’s business now involved installing new gutters and downspouts, solar tubes and solar powered attic fans.
As time has gone by, Pressure Point’s model has stayed the same even with continued growth. In 2005, Dave started Judd Signature Homes. This sister company stands on its own, but, opened up a vast array of options for Pressure Point’s clients. Now they can not only serve the roofing needs but, they can install windows, skylights, siding, cement work, and cultured stone.
